Cyclegoods - do you remember them?
I've recently discovered a bike with Cyclegoods (all caps) no dot com stickers on it. I cant find anything on the 'net despite several searches. The Wayback machine shows some activity for 2001 under cyclegoods.net and it ends in early 2002.
Does anyone recall who cyclegoods is (was). Did they become someone else?

Thanks dedhed, that brought me closer. It appears that in earlier days they were Wheel Goods Corporation. Same address in MN, and this link below takes you to images from a 1973 catalog where that was the 6th edition. Remember sending off to companies for paper catalogs?

It appears the demise came soon after Howies passing.
Perhaps I'll find an year appropriate catalog once I find the year of the bike. Anyone have one of these Wheel Goods/Cycle Goods paper catalog from the 80's?

Look for date codes on components. post a picture of the bike. Serial #? Likely a contract manufactured frame for them. Someone like Tmar in C&V subforum can often tell who a contract manufacturer of frames was by serial number format.

Well, you can probably see why I wanted to remove this extra advertisement from what is a normally beautiful finish on the frameset. The stickers emblazoned the top tube, front forks, rear stays and seat tube.
I'll probably rider faster, who knows?

I remember Cycle Goods. 28th and Hennepin in Uptown Minneapolis. I got into cycling in the mid 1980's and went there occasionally since I lived pretty close at the time. I can't remember the last time I was there and I can't even remember what brands they carried. Probably Gitane and Raliegh? Don't know what became of them.

I think it was Cycle Goods that I ordered a Nexus IGH from about 2000. They were out of stock and canceled the order. Probably a good thing- not sure that hub would have worked out on a 1994 Cannondale H300 frame.

When I was racing in the 80s and early 90s Cycle Goods was the club sponsor.
They were one of oldest shops in the Twin Cities at the time and unfortunately went out of business like a lot of smaller shops in the 90s and early 2000s.
Greg Lemond showed up at the shop to give a talk on his racing career and was selling his autographed book "Greg LeMond's Complete Book of Bicycling".
Real nice and down to earth guy.
