Show me your bikes that spend more time in the workstand than on the road
You know that bike that always seems to develop some niggling problem nearly every time you take it out and it semingly lives in your work stand? Post it here.

I have 4 road bikes and my standard is that at least 1 has to be ride-able at all times.

That was my issue until new year's resolution time came around. Now I have at least 5 to choose from at any given moment. I realize this pertains not at all to the question posed. I have a 95 Specialized Hardrock which has been in the stand for months, awaiting a facelift to a drop bar conversion.

My knee has been in the repair stand for the past 2-1/2 months (synovial fluid). Prior to February I was getting out 2 or 3 times a week. It's not serious and I should be be back to normal pretty soon, but it really sucks not going out for rides. I still do my daily urban commuting on my mountain bike, but I have not been out on a rural road on a vintage road bike for too long now, because it's all mountains.

I was tired of having more projects then bikes. So I make sure every one is ready to ride at a moments notice. So nothing is taken up residence on my work stand anymore.

I don't have one particular bike in the stand for mechanical issues. They're in the stand because they're getting makeovers - usually handlebars, brake levers, saddles, pedals, etc. I ride a bike for awhile a certain way, then if something isn't right and I can't fix it, I may try something else. I actually like doing this. I'm a creative type, so it fits with what I like to do.
Although I rode my '88 Rockhopper drop bar conversion 26 miles yesterday and at the bottom of the right pedal stroke I kept feeling a "knock", so thought it was my bottom bracket. Well it was, and specifically my fixed cup was slightly loose! Took care of that in short order.

when i only had one bike, it got a new makeover regularly. now, i build them, and they're pretty much done.
i've had a couple that gave me a squeak or click that weren't too fun figuring out -- lots of trial and error.
i won't stand for imperfection, i tell you!

This bike doesn't have any issues, but the "owner" is its biggest enemy.
My Della Santa has been sitting here for far too long.
My reasonable New Year's resolution was to stop building bikes by May 1st and ride more this year.
Well, I have been riding every day in April and the miles are piling up, but this beauty has been just sitting here.
I need the bike for our big ride to the cabin in six weeks, so I may just break down and drop it off with my mechanic to sort out.
He and I have built up five custom bikes for folks since the first of the year and I am very comfortable that he will do it to my spec.

Some projects always seem too "substantial" to get done. I have a Motobecane project that doesn't stay on the work stand, it stays on the non-work stand.

No excuses on mine though. I have a box of parts sitting here and I don't have to build the wheelset.
Probably could knock it out in a few hours today, but then I wouldn't have gardening time with Mrs. Gomango.
Back to grading papers.........

Found this one not too long ago. There have been numerous small issues requiring attention, but the "more time in the stand than on the road" designation is temporary I'm sure.

My bikes are always on the stand getting tweaked, or parts changed out. I thrash my mountain bikes so they are usually on the the stand the most.
