Smart trainer maintenance
I have a Cycleops H1 smart trainer (similar to this but older). It lives on my screened-in porch, so it has limited exposure to the elements (if I brought it indoors, it would have exposure to cat hair—there's no cleanroom option). It's about 1½ years old, and I've used it a lot.
As far as I can tell, it's not supposed to be user-serviceable, but the action has gotten "crunchy"—it feels similar to the derailleur being out of adjustment, but that isn't the problem. I'm wondering if anyone has experience opening these up, cleaning them out, lubricating anything that needs lubricating, and has any tips before I make a terrible mistake.

Well durn, It's been a day and no replies. Isn't there still a sub-forum for trainers? Or has that already gone away.
I've nothing to say that will be useful for you. However I think the cat needs to go out and the trainer brought in.
And I actually like cats. But I like them when they are outside. <grin>

Moved here from electronics.
There doesn't seem to be a general problem with these trainers. I searched for "Cycleops H1 smart trainer bearing replacement" and got nothing. So either the people that own them are particularly incurious, or the bearings last fairly well. Other trainers have a lot of repair videos on youtube.
The one video I found was about the belt.

I've posted about this in the past as well. I have a wheel on, Elite Ritmo smart trainer and got the advice that they don't really need maintenance but maybe they are just too new and people don't really know?
Like most modern things, they probably were made to last just past the warranty date!

Thanks for that video, unterhausen. I decided to remove the cover to see what the condition was underneath, but was thwarted by all the smaller allen bolts having seized (or maybe being thread-locked?)—I rounded the head on the first one I tried.
