WTB: 'Good enough' freewheel hubs
Planning on putting together my first wheelbuild and am trying to do it on the cheap...I've looked around on ebay and simply cannot help but not trust the lot no matter the description given. To me, seeing is believing when it comes to the condition of the cups/cones.
That is, except I trust you lot![Smilie](images/smilies/smile.gif)
So if anyone has some hubs that fit the following attributes, or near enough, please let me know:
Thanks!

So if anyone has some hubs that fit the following attributes, or near enough, please let me know:
- $50-$75 is my budget
- Freewheel
- BSC threaded
- Smooth cups/cones
- 28/32/36 holes preferred
- 100/127.5mm OLD spacing.
- Mid/upper mid quality (e.g. Shimano 6207)
- Skewers included would be nice but not necessary if it helps keep the price down.
- No rust or severe cosmetic damage
Thanks!

I think you've got enough budgeted to find NOS examples here or on Ebay.

There’s a guy on eBay selling a NOS 6207 36 hole hubset, currently about $16 plus shipping.
They appear to have never been laced- some of the best freewheel hubs Shimano ever made, IMO.
Hard to beat new for condition.

I think I have a set of Shimano 7400 hubs--32-hole, rear is 126mm and takes a freewheel--in very good condition that I have no real use for. I can check when I'm home from work.
