Squeaks is having another hard start on her day.
Hard life!
My first cat, inherited from a friend that died. I have now had her for 4 years. She is originally from the streets of Austin, TX, now lives in south-coastal Delaware. Dave adopted her, then I adopted her on his passing. Dave's brother transported her to Delaware when he returned . She has street smarts and will never lose all of her caution. It took a long time for her to be truly comfortable with me. No more street life for Squeaks.

Dalia gave birth to three little cuties late Friday night. Unfortunately, a fourth was stillborn.

Thank you, @rumrunn6.
Times like this, it doesn't make much sense to have these loving little creatures in our lives that we get so attached to, but then leave us way too early. Either their lives or way too short, or mine's way too long.

This shot shows Sweet Beppy (I didn't name him) with his rabbit "friend."

I am puzzled at folks here who are breeding kittens ?. I am curious as to why ?. There are tons of kittens and cats in rescue facilities that need homes, what's the thought process to adding more that go a a good home, when there are so many in shelters.

from reading the individual accounts posted to the thread it seems the kitty litters are the result of pregnant strays being given homes and the mother cats are subsequently fixed

one of the nice things regarding old age and infirmity in our loved ones is that it gives us an opportunity to be extra gentle, caring and loving of them
if we are lucky we shall be there one day as well...

My Zoey is 19, hopefully makes it to 20 this August. When she comes up and wants attention, I stop what I'm doing and give it to her. She will not be with us much longer, but who knows, she's surprised us so far and is amazingly spry for her age, still knows when its the 4PM dinner time, hearing is gone, no longer does much grooming, but wants to be petted. A gift from God is my thought,
