Brake pistons
My front wheel piston's travel are not equal. One side travles and moves more than the other side. I already cleaned and soaked them with alcohol and reset them by pushing them flush, but the problematic side always protrudes more.
I have tried centering the rotor between the pads, also tried moving the rotors more towards pads with the problematic pistons hoping the other side pistons will travel more to reach the rotor, but nope, the problem pistons pushes the rotor.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Are you having any real issues braking or with noise?
If these are hydraulic then it's not really a big deal as long as both aren't rubbing the disc with any pressure. They'll probably still wear about the same as when you actuate the lever, they'll get the same amount of force pushing them into the disc once the gap closes on both sides.

Sorry I forgot to mention that. yes it is hydraulic. 4 piston Tektro HD-M745. I am just worried that it might cause a big problem later on as the "more active" pistons are pushing the rotor towards the "lazy" pistons. And yes I also now have squealing brakes because I have contaminated the pads, hence my other thread asking for compatible brake pads.

Maybe it's your mucking around with it that has caused the pads to get contaminated.
The closest pad isn't going to be a worry for bending your rotor or ruining something. If one pad hits the rotor first then it'll meet some resistance and stop until the other pad meets the rotor. Then they will all push with equal force on the rotor. It's not like the one that gets there first will overpower the other.

Take a moment and pick something up. Anything is fine, what matters is how you use your hand.
Without any conscious effort to center your grip, you close your hand until something touches, then complete the motion on the other side.
Hydraulic brakes work similarly. It doesn't matter which shoe touches first because equal fluid pressure ensures that neither pad can exert more force than it's partner.
My best advice is to stop looking for differences that don't make a difference.
