Sella Italia or Selle Italia?

Just wondering if there is a difference between Sella Italia saddles, vs Selle Italia. Not much on google for the first, but seems that Selle Italia is the current company name and still in business. Was the printer for my saddle hung over? Pic of saddle on my Moto.

Selle, IIRC means seat/saddle.
Hence Selle Italia, Selle San Marco, Selle Royal, etc.

Sella is obviously someone trying to cash in on the brand. ie. A Sieko or Rollex watch.

Thanks and really interesting, in researching the bike, I know that the seat is original equipment for that year (77). Guess it can be like you said, some knock off brand.

I have a vintage Sella Italia Criterium saddle that I got off CL for $10. I have it on my 85 Fuji Espree which I use as my commuter. The saddle is quit comfy and reminds me of the San Marco Regal.

I bought a new Sella Italia saddle in 1976.
One of my favorite saddles, alloy rails, buffalo cover... I have found ONE other.
Bought it.
There are also a number of saddles of the same brand that are not so nice, in fact downright sad.

From what I have seen Sella Italia is no more, Selle Italia is. No idea if there was a connection.

Sella is singular (one saddle), Selle is plural (lots of saddles).

Again, interesting. It's not a bad riding seat at all, but I just haven't seen many variations of this brand. Thanks for the input guys.

Selle Italia Criterium vintage

I am interested to a Sella Italia mod. Criterium vintage. I have broken my saddle during last Eroica and I am looking for an identic saddle, as you can see here

Bici d'epoca e bici d'oggi

Can you show me your saddle?
