Those flats look like they would be hard to pedal in. I like the fork mount for the light, nice color too.

There's something about that photo that makes me feel easy, relaxed and care-free.... I like it a lot. By contrast, if the same woman was gabbing on a mobile phone in an SUV well....... It's amazing what bikes can do/be....
Haaaahhhh, Women and bikes...... Now I need to go for a ride...

Love the bike, need to see more like that and fewer of the fake MTB's from big box stores.

Those blog sites kinda freak me out, bicycles are fashion accessories now or what? I guess I can't complain, it certainly beats seeing another movie star girl with a little dog.

Why would they need one? The Danes ride hundreds of thousands of kilometers a year and in 2006 in Copehangen only 36 were killed and 1 in 6 of those was by a right hook. Thirty-six percent of the Copenhagen population commutes by bike. The population is around 1.7million, that means over 600,000 people a day are commuting by bikes. Pretty good odds in my book.

It's interesting that the page that link goes to has a prominent link on it for Cykelhjelm.org

... and riding small-small crosschain, because she does not know how to use the gears. I see this all the time among cyclists of both genders and across all age groups.

I'm a noob, I don't even know what a small-small crosschain means. I do know the OP gave us a perfect example of a gorgeous girl knowing what she should wear and knowing what she should ride.
And again, I'm off to a new project: Trying to convince my wife she NEEDS a second bicycle. A good-looking one.

Hey KoK. I'm seeing a lot of dynohubs, front racks/baskets, fenders, and upright bars out there on the SF streets these days. There's one gal who rides an old lugged steel frame with a SON dynohub, Pass and Stow porteur rack, and I think Soma Noah's Arc bar who never fails to set my heart a flutter, just for the ride alone!

But yea, this town is blessed with beautiful women riding nice bikes, and they can cross chain them all they want, I don't mind.
What are you talking about, I'm not seeing it.

That's when you use the small chainring in front with the smallest cog in back. It is inefficient due to the angle and wears out your drivetrain much quicker. Plus you can usually get about the same gear ratio by switching to the big chainring and a middle cog. Also not good to go with the big/big combo.

On another note--I know you're knowledgeable on old Schwinns--I was wondering whether the one-piece crank on my 50-year-old lightweight can work with a 3/32 chain, or is it 1/8 only?
Thanks!
