100's of Antique/Collector Bikes Including Schwinn (Shawano, WI)

Just an FYI for all you C&Vers out there. This is an ad from our local Craigslist. https://appleton.craigslist.org/bik/1032763144.html

Looks like this bike shop in Shawano -- https://www.joebikeler.com/.

No idea what they have but being a bike shop, I doubt there are any Masis, Cinellis or De Rosas in the batch.

I live in Appleton, about 45 miles south of Shawano, and could maybe be talked into driving up to have a look, if anyone was seriously interested in a particular bicycle.

This thread reminds me of a dream I have from time to time. I'm out scouring yard sales when I come across the mother load of yard sale bikes. Theres a Bianchi Campione, a Nishiki Prestige, a 84 Trek 400, a Nishiki Ariel, a vintage Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo, a 96 Cannondale SR500, All ride ready. I go to the owner to buy all of them and that's when the nightmarish scary part starts,

It's my wife selling all my bikes.

gawd. The schwinns are the least of my problems. The Treks keep trying to hump all of the other bikes. Crap, I dunno where it's gonna end.

And, yeah, sweat and grease. That about sums it up. Not supposed to smell that way?

I'm all for captive breeding if I have good stock.

Seriously though, it looked like nearly all the bikes there are Schwinns.

Visit the Used showroom at Budget Bikes on Regent in Madison, Wi... then you will know the definition of embarassment of riches... if you grew up in the 60's and 70's and rode bikes, that bike of yours is hanging from the rafters there somewhere.

I have been tempted as looking for an old 80's era Schwinn Peloton, Circuit or Madsion. Because we know no Paramount will be hanging from those rafters just but those heavier Schwinns.

Everytime I go into Budget Bicycles I would love to pull a few bikes down for a ride.

Did you see the cast iron bike in the far right corner? Is it just me or are those used bike marked pretty high?

budget marks stuff pretty high, but they usually seem open to a bit of negotiation on their used stuff
