All your color options will work and will help your bike blend into the crowd.
For some reason there is one color that stands out from your multi-color band set on the seat tube. Match that GREEN and you will have your bar tape.
I normally am not a green type, yet your yellow cable, black with yellow hi-lite decals, and the silver color needs another color that provides balance and yet blends nice with all the above.
Are there hoods on the levers, silver or white?, if not select a color to match your seat.

there are no hoods on the levers. Green is an interesting idea.

Green would be interesting. You don't see to many bars wrapped in that color.

I'm probably going to get banned for this but black and yellow splash, the big chunky pattern stuff not the little tiny swirly kind, would look really nice and you'd be unique since I haven't seen any on a bike in a long time.

BANNED!....just kidding, your opinion is as good as any. I was going to say gold or yellow but really any color black, yellow, brown or green would be nice, it is a stunning bike regardless!

The color the second from the left in the top row of the sample tapes, that would match the color band on the decals on the seat tube it would compliment and make the silver POP

C'mon, diamond pattern brown and yellow. Something happened to my original pic post (must have exceeded bandwidth). So, here it is in different colors:
Or do it only on the tops, like fellow forumite robatsu. Looks sharp!

I think red would look great. All the other colors - with the possible exception of yellow - are... how can I say this delicately? ... boring.

Either one of these sites - search around a bit - macro splash bar tape.
The Italian site has a bigger pic when you find it.

The first color that came to mind when I saw the pic of the bike and before I looked at the poll options was blue. I have no idea how it would look on the bike though.

Thank you scooper and ozneddy, I couldn't agree more, that is one of my all time favorite combinations. A royal blue would look good with the silver as well, but not nearly as good as the dark red maroon color.

Is this a 2 page thread on bar tape color?... Awesome.
I would go with black to match the saddle, or if you could find some silver plastic tape that would look cool, but a lot of people don't like plastic tape.

I was thinking the same thing when it made i to two pages. Most of my threads get a post or two then fall off the first page. It's funny that one about bar tape color sticks around.
the saddle is not black, so I dont think that would match. That said, right now I think I've narrow this down to a few choices:
-The black tape from the UK that OFG posted at the beginning of the thread
- red cloth
- blue cloth
-shallacked harlequin only on the top of the bars, red and white.
so I guess this isnt a very narrow choice selection after all
I really need it to get a little warmer so I can start riding the damn thing rather than thinking about it.

Cut the ends off of two sets of Oury grips, one dark blue, one yellow.
Slide one set to the top of the bars, use one on the bottom.
Grow a wisp of chin hair, get some camouflage cutoffs.
Add an olive drab Ramones t-shirt.
Boom, instant hip.
This input provided by my 14-year old son.
He likes the bike, which for him, is pretty rare if there's ANY cables on it.

yes. Admittedly it's not the best pic though. It's a brown suede. I may or may not keep it on the bike though

still tinkering around with this. I tried the harlequin suggestion. It took me about 45 minutes to figure out how to do it, probably because I'm mildly ********. It's still not perfect.
it's just OK, I'm not in love with it. I bought some Cinelli black cork today that I'm probably going to be putting on soon. I think i'll like the extra padding anyway because the bar are a little lower than I normally ride.

It's a very good first attempt at a harlequin wrap. It's a tough wrap to puzzle out the first time. Or even the second.

How about this Yellow from PBK? It's cheap, padded vinyl and works great.

I appreciate this thread (and it's about to go to 3 pages!) as I'll need to take this up with my Alan in the not-too-distant future (couple other projects ahead in the cue). I think the harlequin thing turned out sharp, but what about black/red instead of the white?
