Peugeot PGN10. This is a full Reynolds 501 frame and forks. No rust, shiny paint, the chrome forks are flawless but the paint does have a few scratches as would be expected. The wheels are a pair of Mavic MA3's with a 9spd 11-27 cassette. Ultegra 9spd derailleurs. Compact crankset, 34/50, stripped and polished. Shifters are the newest model Tiagra, brand new with all new cables. New tires. 100mm 3ttt stem and new Easton EA50 bars, 44cm. Rides great, shifts smooths.

and once again the picture will not cut and paste on here for me not sure why not.

thanks Bill, not sure why I can't copy the pics but I just can't seem to get that part taken care of.

So thank you for once again helping me out... it's all about the team work, right.

Isn't that like the one that miamijim received with the dented top tube?

edit: Alas, it is bigger.

I believe it is that is why I went ahead and posted it here, perhaps he can get easthill to get it and ship it to him, that way there will be no dents in it this time. I knew someone had a need in here.

Thanks for the headsup. It is very similar but is too big!!! I need a 54, possibly a 55, depending on the Peugeot model.

There's one very subtly difference between the 2 bikes posted. The Seattle bike uses a set screw behind the seat tube to 'fix' the seat post whereas the one I purchased uses an internaly expanding wedge.

Again,

Thanks for the heads up,

Jim

always wondered if those bikes had reynolds tubing in the stays---and not just in the main tubes. I believe the reynolds frame stickers on those models indicated (in french) "501 main tubes" or "501 three tubes" Whereas, some 531 reynolds stickers on other bikes read: "main tubes, fork blades, and stays" or, in the case of 531, the 531 may be written Diagonally---indicating a full 531 frame...

In general, a framesets rear triangle will have the same tubing as the fork blades. This generalization holds true for most bikes including, Peugeot, Miyata, Schwinn and many others.

Some of the Schwinns which have recently passed through my hands are good examples of this. My current Schwinn, a Circuit, is 3 tubes Columbus with Tange stays and fork blades.

The PGN10, Peugeots lugged Reynolds 501 bike has a full 501 tubeset including the rear stays and fork blades.

Peugeots PH501 models, those with the DBS, or 'lugless' joints have 501 main tubes and fork blades with 'non-specific' stays (more than likely 103 tubing). Some of the initial PH501 models had 103 blades as well.

Brenda...as far as I can tell Flickr sucks in regards to hosting photos for pasting on other sites. Try Photobucket.....each picture is assigned 4 url's/links. Copy paste the bottom link/url. No need for tags.

oh well I am not going to worry about it anymore, I just don't seem to get it and it is not really that important.... you all can continue to help me out by pasting it in when I can't.... ooohhhh geeezzzzz this is complicated. It used to be I could just cut and paster, perhaps it is just the flickr problems, the image I was trying to get here would have been a cut and paste off of craigs list not one of my images. For mine I alsways use photobucket.... oh well.... live and learn.

Have a great night and thanks to all who have tried to help me learn.

Becki

I use FLickr and it's actually pretty damn good for this. When you click the "all sizes" button you get scaled images so you can post a size approprite for your forum, and the link is right at the bottom. I've never had any problems with it, and the storage of images is unlimited with their cheap "pro" account.
