Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

merelli

i want to buy, this beautiful merelli bike. but i think, it is a little bit expensive. (680 euro) what do you? Full alloy frame and fork. Grey. Selle SLR seat, but shimano sora goods... This old bike, but nice bike. I like it but I know it's not the bike fashion. The frame is strong.

Hello pumbuszka, welcome to Bike Forums.

I know nothing about the value of the bike. c0urt's suggestion about googling is a good one. It may also help to ask your question in Road bikes or the General Cycling forums. Foo is more for foolishness. Maybe the mods will see this and move the thread for you.

Top of my search was this thread...

Talk about circular searches!

Maybe English isn't his first language and he thinks Foo stands for 'bike purchase advice'.

Hi! I am from Poland! I have a Merelli bike from 1997 and I really love. Yes, these things are very expensive and many people do not know why expensive the Merelli bike when the Merelli is not famous, not fashion.
The bike is from a little manufactura from Tirano city, Italy. The manufactura make frames if someone wants and pays. Not stored. Nowadays, this manufaktura also sell carbon frame bike but the famous types kill the little factorys. The old steel and aluminum frames good frames and expensives.

Hi, I'm writing to you from Austria. Yesterday I buy this Merelli bike frame at auction. I think it's very cool.
