Dura Ace 7400 radial lace?

I know some of the newer Dura Ace track hubs are not covered by warranty if they are radially laced, but is this the case for older Dura Ace road hubs as well? I did a quick search on Google, but didn't find anything concrete (but did find some images of people that had done a radially laced 7400).

I actually am 100% not sure if the hub I have is a 7400, but it looks like it. Here's a pic for reference:

Disclaimer: I'm new to wheel building and am trying to come up with ideas for my first build.

The hub is probably not under warranty anymore anyway. I doubt you are going to have any sort of catastrophic failure due to it being used as a radially laced wheel, but it for sure was not intended to be used as one. If you have your doubts just use a cross pattern.

Right, I understand that the hub isn't under warranty, nor do I have any documentation. I'm a light rider (147 lbs at my heaviest), so I think a 36h radial lace would be plenty strong for me.

I like how radial lacing looks, but I'm pretty open to whatever at this point.

It's not about rider weight. 36h is much worse than a 32h or less hub in terms of strain on the flange for radial lacing. There is very little material between spoke holes to resist flange breakage. That hub was not specifically designed to handle radial lacing as some of the new 10 speed hubs and others are.

36 spokes laced radially looks dumb anyways.

I think this front wheel looks pretty decent, but in terms of strength I guess a high flange 36h has a lot more material between spoke holes than a the road hub.

Bottom line is, that it's use at your own risk.
