The "NOT FUGLY" street clipless shoe thrad
oh hi!
warning: i will seriously rage if you say "just leave shoes at work" or "bring street shoes with you" or whatever. this is not that thrad. please make another thread with a title along the lines of "Get proper clipless shoes and bring your casual shoes with you thread" and post in there. thanks
ok, so ive been playing with the idea of getting some "casual/street/urban" style clipless shoes.
So far, I have come across the following options that i didn't think were ugly and looked like a cross between sketchers and corrective orthopedic footwear:
1. chrome kursck pro
2. various DZR shoes
3. mission workshop rondel
i believe dzr is making a prolly not probably shoe soon, and in all black suits my tastes but im not sure when they will be released...
as far as options, WHAT AM I MISSING (that isn't ugly).
and what would also be appreciated in this thread is REVIEWS OF SHOES YOU ACTUALLY OWN.
it seems like all these shoes are spd. is there a reason for that? different clipless street shoes out there?

Spd are recessed, making them easy to walk in and why they make some clipless shoes that look like tennis shoes. I wear Bontrager street shoes when I go clipless.

I've only had "normal" clipless shoes. As time has gone by, I've stopped minding how they look (to a certain extent. Some of them are still too fugly).
Anyways, since people can clearly see that they're cycling shoes, I earn mad street cred points

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
I wear my LG shoes on and off the bike as they are very comfortable and although you give up a little stiffness and add a little weight when you use a walkable shoe the trade off is worth it... they are my touring shoe although I do carry sandals on trips.
Also have Adidas mtb shoes which are a little brighter but still look like pretty regular shoes and they are little stiffer.
Of course... the way things are they don;t carry them any more and their newer line ups are a little fugly but I do like these Keen shoes...

ive got rondels and they are great. they run large for some reason. i usually wear a size 9, but i got an 8.5. now that ive been riding them more i think i should have went with an 8.

I love the DZR Ovis shoes I have. Bottom is stiff enough for me, the shoe is comfortable (no numbness over longer rides), and it fits SPD's which is what I already have.
