X Excelsior Schwinn 1940s Era needs restoration

I am looking for a person that enjoys restoring old schwinn bikes. I have an X excelsior that was my grandmother's, and I believe it's from the 1940s, but I couldn't find a serial number on it. Please let me know if you have any suggestions

Unclear if you want someone to give it to or to hire to restore.

for Schwinn information specifically, I would sign up at

A good cleaning and rebuild of bearings, etc, good. But you may not want to strip the original paint nor paint over it in order to repaint. May depend on whether frame is rusted, etc, but if I were you, I'd talk with someone experenced in the collector value of Schwinns before doing anything.

Go to the CABE forum. That bike is what they are all about.
