SRAM 3.0 rear derailleur
I have a friend with a bike that from pictures appears to have a broken b adjustment screw. Looks like the mount broke and the screw fell off. The derailleur is a SRAM 3.0. So I see they have kits for replacing the plate and bolt, but do they have one for this derailleur? Also, is a new SRAM x3 derailleur the new replacement for this one? Shifter is SRAM grip shift 3.0. 7-speed..

SRAM replacement parts PDF is 70MB. Download at your leisure. SRAM appears to sell the same or similar RD for $20 or less. If the
RD is non-functional as is then new would likely be the cheapest and fastest route to repair. In the modern era of restricted availability
the cost of the screw/plate IF you could find it would not save much.

the x3 SHOULD work with the shifter you have.. the 3.0 derailleur is an "Exact Actuation", 1 to 1.1 pull ratio, and SHOULD work with any other "Exact Actuation" SRAM part.
that said.. the X3 rear derailleurs are low end, mostly plastic parts, and tend to be vague when shifted... on the plus side, they are tough to bend in crashes since the plastic wants to just return to it's manufactured shape. I installed one on a friend's DH bike.. he crashes a LOT... it worked until it was worn out... i replaced the hanger three times, and had straightened the hangers multiple times for him too... but that cheapo x3 rear der. just kept working! the pulleys finally wore out and got too sloppy to hold the chain in line.. they are NOT replaceable as they are Riveted in the cage. Normal use/care of the X3 would see a far longer life than on Dan's Fuji, i'd guess. the Fuji got retired when the frame began to crack at the drive side chain stay/BB junction... it had also had multiple rear wheels replaced (I lost count!), two new front wheels, and three different forks (one Broke, two worn out.) on it in 4 years...... !
