Veggies, rice & quinoa is yummy!

And the grand total on cost is usually <$3. That's pretty cheap.
YUMMM! Nuked veggies and grains. What a treat, insert heavy sarcasm. Sorry dude, I can't eat that sort of food.

I'm not a "dude" ... and I find that combination very nice.

It's also possible we have different food choices here in Australia. The links I posted are all/mostly Australian sites. Perhaps the steamed rice/quinoa and steamed veggie combination I talk about is different from what you might have access to.

Actually you should try this once it really is quite tasty. I will often have something like this as a side dish for my lunch.

Banana most of the time. If I had an office job, I would take dinner leftovers. My wife is Polish, and she always cook from scratch. You can't beat that...

I was having the same problem. I was spending way too much and wasn't much in return. I recently bought me a small blender and rice cooker for my office. I can throw a cup of rice, with some potatoes, carrots, and a little garlic in the rice cooker and in 20 minutes I have a hot, tasty meal. For the blender, I keep frozen fruit in the freezer and apple juice in the fridge. It takes all of 5 minutes to make a smoothie. Price for apple juice and a bag of frozen fruit is about $15 (Oahu, Hawaii), but lasts a week. I can buy a bag of rice and potatoes that lasts for well over a week for around $5.
