N. Texas Vintage Ride - Sunday April 25th.
Exact details to be worked out, however I've set a tentative date of April 25th for this year's spring Vintage ride. I'll be working out a couple of different route options as I did last year so we're not sucker punched by the wind. Distance will likely be approx 35mi, conversational pace, say an avg around 16mph.
Details (to be updated as I make plans).
1) Departing Celebration Park, Allen Tx. Same location as last year, it worked out well, so why change it.
2) Time TBD: probably around 8am, maybe 8:30 if we have some coming from further out who want some time to get out to Allen. I know that's early and some of ya'll may not want to wake up that early, but I really do prefer to get off the roads before the sun is too high and the traffic picks up.
3) I will make a route (or two) and post links in thread. I'll probably bring a few maps with me to the ride start as well, but please print one if you think you may need it.
4) This may be a vintage ride, but please bring and wear a helmet. Preferably one made in the last few years! You are responsible for your own safety, plan accordingly.

I usually do my longer/faster rides with the PBA on Saturday which is why I usually schedule the vintage rides on Sunday. Especially this year with my mileage being so erratic that I need to get in on any chance I can to get some miles in.

I've already committed to a ride on Saturday morning this week. If anyone still wants to do a vintage ride Sunday morning, rolling out at approx 8am, please post here. If no one posts, I'll postpone this for a while till I can make better plans.

EDIT: Aw crap. I just remembered I have to be in church this Sunday.
If I can get someone to cover for me I might be able to make it but I bet I can't. The next two Sundays aren't too hot either.

I'll be at Celebration Park @ around 8am if anyone is still planning on attending. I'll have some sort of general route planned. If today's winds are repeated tomorrow, it will be an interesting ride indeed.
