Vintage Raleigh Sprite Shift Cable
Working on a 1980 Raleigh Sprite 1x5 with a friction shift lever. The cable end is oriented like a MTB brake end but about half the diameter and a quarter of the thickness.
Where does one find such a thing?

The Sprite was built with a Huret gear system. Cable end is disc shaped. Look for Huret brand gear cables. this image shows Huret on the bottom, vs everyone else -
A common replacement cable designed to accommodate both types. One simply snips off the end not required. -
