Found a great deal on a 2007 Trek Madone 5.2 with full Ultegra groupset. Paid 800.00. Bike is in near showroom condition minus dirt and grease marks. A thorough cleaning rendered it virtually flawless.
After a professional fitting, the LBS weighed the bike (with pedals and bottle cages) at 17.54 lbs.
Here's some pics....
What a great ride. Super lightweight, but the ride is so comfy over rough roads. Compared to aluminum framed bikes it's an amazing difference.
Also, this older Ultegra groupset is amazing. The shifting is so smooth. Brakes are amazing as well.

You were fortunate, in that small sized frames tend to sell cheaper than average sized ones. BTW, my carbon bike is also a used Trek - a Y-Foil from 1998 that I paid $450 for about 6-7 months ago that is not in anywhere near the cosmetic condition that your Madone is, but it's mechanically fully intact and rides great.
Oh, and I think you should remove the decal saying 7-time Tour de France Champion, as those wins have been expunged from the record books.
In any case, congrats - It's a great bike, and you got a great deal on it, and it should serve you amazingly well

Good looking ride. I even like the color.
sometimes a good used bike is a much better deal than a lower level new bike. Yours looks like one of those deals.
As far as the decal goes leave it. official or unofficial doesn't matter unless you are riding a bike the winner actually used it is all marketing anyway. How many Corvetts have you seen with official pace car printed on them? I promise you none of them were official pace cars.

There is a 2005 5.2 similarly equipped listed at 999.00 on our local CL. Until recently, finding a CF racer under 1500$ was rare. Good deal.

Nice looking score there, Dsonyay, you stole a great ride, at that price. Well done, sir, very well done. And, welcome to the 50+ Forum, sorry for being late on that.

Very nice. Enjoy it and I'm sure you will.
Yeah, leave the decals. They are part of history.
