1981 Miyata 710 for Trade. Looking for something of equivalent quality, but smaller. I could trade the whole bike, or figure out which parts to swap.

The Miyata is approximately 62cm C-T.

Head tube has a badge that reads "Miyata" and "Handmade Japan" it has a 1024 Cro-Mo sticker on the front fork, and a double-butted sticker on the seat tube.

Suntour Vx derailers with downtube-mounted derailleur levers. Dia-Compe brakes and brake levers. Sakae aluminum drop bar.

Also, depending on what goes into the trade, it has trued-up 27x1.25" Araya rims, with front and rear QR and Sunshine hubs. Also has new Conti Ultrasports (102psi) and a brand new Shimano 14-28 6-speed freewheel (I also have a brand new Shimano 14-34 if you live in a hilly area--we can discusss).

Building a fixie for a friend, and would like to save him the $20 a new Dura-Ace track cog would cost him.

Any chance one of you fellows might have a 16-tooth, thread on (ISO) track cog for 1/8" chain on hand that you'd part with?

Also, if anyone out there wants some new brake cable, I made the dubious error of purchasing a box of 100. I'd really like to get rid of oh, I don't know, maybe 75 or so . PM me if you'd like some, even a few, I'd be happy to send them to you. Perhaps someone out there has some extra cable housing they might spare, or maybe stainless steel cables, say 3 for 1 swap or something like that. Heck, I don't know. I just have waaaaay too many cables right now.

I could really use a 2-prong suntour freewheel remover, as well as a brake offset wrench.

Just remembered this, too: I have a bunch of surplus 27" tires: nashbars, continental 1000s and some Panaracers. Could use some equivalents in 700c sizes.

Oh, and for those of you who have cable but no housing, I have 20 pounds of brake cable (and non-indexed) housing that I'd be more then willing to trade for various items. Non-teflon lined, but it gets the job done. Brand new housing.

P.S.: Also looking for:

13t Shimano Uniglide (UG) cog (I believe 13t is available in Dura Ace UG only, correct?)
12t Shimano Hyperglide (HG) outer cog (the one with the built in spacer with the small raised lip, and the corrugated outer edge to grab the lockring), must be spaced for 9 speed.

HAVE: a set of vintage campy wheels. They came off an early 80s Benotto with Nuovo Record on it, so I'm guessing thats what these hubs are. The hubs are laced to some nice ambrosio rims, and they have matching campy skewers. There is a 6 speed freehweel on there. The rear does have a very slight skip to it but I don't even notice it. I only can tell when trueing that its there. The condition is good otherwise. Clean up nice. Oh and the rear spacing is 126 mm.

WANT: either a single speed 700c wheelset, or a 9 speed shimano wheelset. Hopefully something pretty strong for city riding. 130mm spaced.
or single speed mountain bike complete or frame.

I have a very specific trade request:

WILL TRADE: 165mm Sugino VP touring cranks (110/74), mid-80's vintage

IN EXCHANGE FOR: cranks of equivalent quality (alloy, forged 5-bolt spider) and same BCD, but 170mm.

This would be a set without rings UNLESS it is a setup similar to the 28-36-48 that I have currently, in which case I'm happy to swap rings (but in that case, why bother?).

Anyway, I know it's a very specific request and a forlorn hope, but I thought I would try here first! Thanks.

I have two Peugeot's to trade.

The UO8 is 52cm and is in nicer shape than the other, but you'd have to deal with the french threading/size issues if you wanted to convert/upgrade it. I'm probably going to hang on to the seat.

The other bike is newer and nicer, but I don't know much about it. It's about 56cm and made of Reynolds 501 steel. It's a little on the beat up side, but a worthy project. Missing freewheel.

I need either a halfway decent 52 cm road bike, or parts to convert the UO8 including BB, crankset, flip flop hub, long reach brakes, stem, bars and maybe a seat post.

I have a back wheel I would like to trade. It's one of those glue the tire to the rim kind. Campagnolo hub with quick release and a mavic rim aluminum I think( a magnet dosent stick). 700 size. Would like to trade for a 27 inch tire & tube rim of similar quality.

Are the levers on the UO8 as far-reach as they seem? Or is that just picture distortion?

For trade: Trek frame, slightly rusty, possibly an '88 560. 22", it's too big for me. Need a 20 or 21", or 54-56cm. Reynolds 501 or so preferred. Crappy paint or slight surface rust doesn't matter, it will be repainted. If you're in the NYC area I can hand it off to you, but I have no car.

Brooks B-72 saddle with seatpost. Broken in, excellent shape.
Brooks Professional pre-softened, honey, hammered copper rivets, chrome rails. 30 miles on it.
Shimano 105 10 speed shifter/brake levers. Double or triple, brand new, unridden.
Shimano ultegra 12-25 9speed cassette. Ridden, in great shape.
Shimano 105 12-25 9speed cassette. Ridden, in great shape.
Random 1" quill stems.
Ritchey Pro 90mmx84 deg. road stem.
Ritchey WCS alumimum 44cm road bars.
Nitto bars. (not sure of size off the top of my head)
Panaracer FireXC pro 2.1 UST tires. Maybe 15% worn. One has thorn puncture, so you'd need sealant to really used these as tubeless.
2 Dura-Ace clamp-on cable guides. (like on the top tube for old bikes without braze-on guides)

WANTED:

Front road fork, steel, chromed, for 700C wheels. Must have recessed brake mounting. Shorter steer tubes or considerable steertube threading OK - it is for a 21" frame machine (don't remember offhand how long the tube has to be).

Sloping or unicrown forks preferred, but would pretty much go for anything now - haven't located anything so far for a few months.

I have a very old ladies Phillips, I don't know how old but it appears to be pre-1960-raleigh-buyout. "Made in Birmingham" has oil cap on bottom bracket, very rough no wheels but has fenders and handlebars still - and has the covetted "Phillips" script chainwheel (very cool) Would trade towards another bike (Columbias are always welcome) or for parts - anybody have a front basket? or a dynamo light set?

Have: A rusty Schwinn Varsity (boat anchor, yadda, yadda) it lacks handlebars and break levers, other than that, it runs. The derailler shifts, the pedals turn, the bike rolls. It just looks like ****. I'll post pics later. I think the size is 54-55 cm
