Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Shows how widespread the rain was.

Someone needs to set a remind me alert so we check to see if it's raining next Tuesday.

The reason is marketing. Planned obsolescence kicks in as well.

For a few weeks here recently it rained every Wednesday, which is typically the day I'm off work and get to spend as much time on the bike as I want.

Speaking of, it's going to be gorgeous tomorrow and I'm trying to decide where to go.

They support phones that are three years older than Samsung's oldest.

Why would I care about that? I don’t think I’ve ever had a phone for three years. Certainly wouldn’t buy a three year old model.

Hmm. I like Motorola's version of Android pretty well. I can't stand Samsung's version, I think Galaxy 6 was my last one of those, and I had to do a lot of work to it to make it somewhat pleasurable to use. Mom has a Samsung and I hate touching that thing.

It's been eons since I've had an actual Google Phone, but I liked my olde one, it had an excellent version of Android on it. I had to go peek to see what a Pixel 6 was going for, nope, not paying $600 for a phone.

I've had a few Samsung phones. I think one of them even ran Windows.

After the ride last weekend I swapped my pedals back to the road bodies on Sunday. Had a beautiful night last night when I went out for a ride, but had no power or cadence because the left side pedal (the brain) wouldn’t activate.

Ultimately ended up bagging the ride because I was so annoyed and pulling the whole thing apart. It works now at least, so I guess that’s good.

It’s sunny and 55, by mid-ride it will be in the 60’s.

Hey indyfabz we are riding to Wolf’s Hollow park, just west of Cochranville. Ever ridden there? It’s a short section of road along the creek, quite lovely.

Today’s route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39042844
