Campy Olympus prototype crank

Firstly, I see it saying “not usable”, but are they not? Or just lawyer/proprietary speak.

Secondly, value?

got an analogous Zeus set from Zeus Cyclery Corp. of NYC

it was a prototype for the New Racer model and they warned me it was unusable because the alloy was too soft - this might be a possible case for the "lawyer speak" on your set...

the hardness could be tested if the OP knows anyone who works in a QC lab at a manufacturing company. The test will only leave a small indent like from a prick punch.

Thanks gentleman! I figured it might be a different casting of alloys.

Hmmm...

OR, does it mean not usable without chainrings & bolts? Never can tell with some of these postings.😲
Cheers,

Could be minor but in the pics I see a potential issue on the bottom spider arm that should be checked at minimum I would want a big discount. If you like them I would say $75 or so tops if more pass doesn't make since to pay more for a part listed as none usable that may have issues.

I actually own them. Was wondering if I should use them or let someone have the collectible.

Re-evaluating the amount of stuff I have.

Odd thing is that the DS crank doesn’t have the warning label.

I think they would be fine to use if you have bike other components they would go nicely with. Prices on parts like these have come down a bit in the US lately and international shipping has become a bit of pain and shipping rates just went up a lot in the last month or so.

Not really. It came in a lot if I recall.

I will be selling quite a bit of Campy over the next month or so, so not sure what the fate of these will be.
