Hi

I'm looking for solutions to improve my daylight visibility from all angles,
so far I found that ANSI Class III Safety Vests are recommended
as well as read good review for DiNotte 140R-AA, a good taillight,,,

im still looking for an effective solution for headlights as well as sidelights(visible at daytime)

or if there are other methods of improving visibility in daytime I would like to learn of them

A decent to be seen light that uses AA is the Planet Bike Blaze 2W on blink, though I wouldn't rely on it as a primary to see by light. Dinotte also has some lights that run off of AA packs, but they are a bit pricey.

On the sides you could try ankle reflective straps or reflective tape on the side of the bike.

I bought this reflective flashing vest for riding at dusk for $20 shipped. I've used it in daylight as well and it works well. I don't use it now because I almost always ride a recumbent and I'd be sitting on the LEDs.

I do have a few flashing leg straps. I've used two of them as a waist strap for my daughter when she's on the trail-a-bike and it works quite well, too.

For day time lights, I'm a big fan of USB rechargeable (so I can charge them easily at work). For tail lights, the 2 watt Cygolite Hot Shot is a hard value to beat. Very bright. I've heard good things about Cygolite Expillion head light. I have a Nashbar USB headlight that isn't as bright, but still works nicely in the day time.

Dinotte has 2 models of AA powered taillights, both are quite good and will last for years. My 140 is as good as new after 3+ years of frequent, regular use:

Reflective materials are great for night but are of little benefit during day. UV-dyed shirts are brighter during daylight, OSHA yellow and orange are highly recognizable colors for apparel. I personally have had good luck with Alert Shirts (Walmart & Target sell polyester hi-viz shirts too):

Agree. Very bright flasher. I have used it at night to ride by getting home late and it was way better than nothing....

Active lighting is most effective. That being said, reflective material/high viz helps in many situations.

I use a Cygolite Hot Shot on my seat post and Serfas Raider on my left drop both (I don't use the drops often) flashing at all times. The Hot Shot is a very focused light and very bright. I really like the Serfas, easy to mount most anywhere, and it is bright enough for me. I like having more than one tail light. On my bar I use a Niterider Lumina 650 or a Lumina 500. They really get the attention of drivers when flash during the day. I really like the 650. At night I run on medium 400 lumens and it goes for over 3 hours. I am currently looking for a reflective vest. A lot of options.
