A good friend rescued this bike from a shed full of rusting bikes and thought of me. Luckily this old tourer was mostly covered in dust. New tires etc and she will be a nice ride for someone taller than my 5,4.

Nice Canadian spec Nishiki Continental made by Kawamura. Made in Japan and every part was excellent quality. Suntour/Diacompe/Sugino (forged AT cranks in 83) on a quality CrMo frame with a 40 spoke rear wheel. It does not get better than this.
Top of the Norco/Nishiki line touring bike in the mid 80s.
I have 2 of them and never plan to sell them.

This confirms what I thought about the lugs on my Panasonic by Takao Ono. Built in 1973 with Tange tubes. Lugs appear to be #’s 1801, 1821 and 1841.
