Y'all are making me feel old. This is a phone booth. Those are just pay phones. Clark Kent couldn't change into Superman in one of those. Not quibbling, there really aren't working phone booths anymore, just think it's funny that people don't even remember what they were.

Yeah....i kinda figured after i posted the mission it might be impossible to find an actual working phone booth, as they are apparently as rare as hen's teeth anymore. Honestly, i was surprised to see pay phone pictures of any kind posted in such a timely manner, as i cannot remember seeing one in my hometown in the past 15 years or so. I think everybody here understands the difference, but i am okay with the simple (non boothed) pay phone completing the mission.
Rarer than Checker cabs!
Totally agree that completed the mission, just thought it was amazing how thoroughly something that used to be ubiquitous is just totally gone from our memories.

Most of the parks and trails around here are closed. Its really windy out here, north of LA, and the wind must have blown the roadblock over. I had to put a rock on the sign to take the picture. Notice the signage just under the park sign picture. They don't allow bicycles, but they do allow rattlesnakes.
Next mission, your bike at a closed sports stadium, baseball, football, indoor sports, pro, or small town sports stadium, whatever.

Simply closed, permanently closed, or temporarily closed due to the pestilence?

Vacant Velodrome. Sought: Sasquatch
Alkek all locked up.
I've been waiting for an opportunity to show off our velodrome. They are much more common than operating phone booths, but there are only about 25-30 in the US, for example, so still fairly rare. Website is https://www.alkekvelodrome.com/.
Next Mission: Your bike near a representation of a Sasquatch, Yeti, Loch Ness Monster or other cryptid. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptids One million bonus points if you get a real live example. (If this is looking too difficult check back and I'll add a mr_bill clause.)

Edit: I guess griffins and gargoyles might be possible too.

Mission Modified
Next Mission: Your bike near a representation of a Sasquatch, Yeti, Loch Ness Monster or other cryptid. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptids One million bonus points if you get a real live example. Beginning April 28th, representations may be of extinct species (think passenger pigeon, ivory-billed woodpecker) and beginning April 29th, mythical creatures such as dragons and unicorns.

OK I'll play along. In the interest of this not taking forever I submit the following (cheat) for your consideration.

you'll have to wait until Wednesday to submit. (I will say that in view of the variety of stay at home orders, a operable stationary bike such as Barry's will be acceptable.)

Its a tongue-in-cheek submission and downright attempt to cheat.
I would not let me get away with that at any cost.
However I will claim, that the thought of visiting a landmark on a 100 pound bike that has now wheels made me do it.
All the best
