Is the seatpost height different on omafiets compared to race bikes?
Hello so I have converted my racebike to a chill bike by flipping bars upside down and moving levers. Wanted a more relaxed position cos not much point having a race bike when im only cycling round amsterdam with my friends on slow dutch omafiets.
I had a problem with a seized seatpost and I had pain in my knees when cycling was convinced it was too high. Now it seams less and I can ride it without problems. Surely the distance between seat and pedels is the same tho?

Maybe not. Think about your ankle movement. In the torso forward racing position you might point your toes downward more at the bottom of your pedal stroke.

What changed were your torso angle and your pelvis rotation. The pelvis is particularly important if you lack some flexibility. The knee pain is likely referenced, stemming from nerve impingement through/around your pelvis on the saddle.

I need a saddle change from racing position to more upright riding position.
But not sure that's your issue. @subgrade makes a valid commemt.

I’d try to treat the seized post with a 50/50 mix of acetone and transmission fluid. Just keep soaking the joint and hope it will wick in. Or if you can get the bottom bracket out and access to the seat tube there maybe a hole you could pour some of the mixture in and let it soak.
In the US we have other magic fluids like PB Blaster and Kryoil.
