The REYNOLDS 531 DECAL thread.

Got any close up pics of your ORIGINAL Reynolds decals? No reproductions, please.
Particularly interested in odd or scarce variants. Such as the French "3 tubes reinforces"
decal, etc.

Two Schwinn Paramounts for the price of one. Not as close as you'd like.

The coppertone on the left is not the original decal to the '66 frameset. The red on the right is original to the '71 P13.

It's also incorrect.

Very interesting varieties of tubeset decals......
Well, one thing I also learned from this thread so far,....... Reynolds definitely used the flimsiest materials for their tubeset decals....

AFAIK I have no Reynolds-French connection. But I can offer these pics of my Gran Sport (Oh wait, "Gran" is a French spelling, n'est pas?) which I'm sure are not unique, not even a little bit:

Here are the frame and fork labels on my '74 Gitane Champion du Monde, still in good condition:

Most Reynolds labels come in pretty deplorable condition like on this Grand Jubile.
- Which is why I feel no pangs of guilt when applying repro's.

^ This is not the repro label. ^

Some real beauties here. Keep them coming. It's interesting seeing the different shades of the green 531.

En anglais.

I believe this is original from early to mid '70's on my MKM Metcalfe.
