TdF. Motorcycle Blocks Rider Attack.

D'oh ! So many races seem clogged with vehicles.
Watching Paris Roubaix, in some years the lead vehicles send up massive clouds of dust, along with their exhaust. It must really suck from a rider's perspective.

hopefully won’t be an issue on tuesday’s mountain itt but with the crazy fans, you never know. if it isn’t a loose
dog, slow motorbike, flag in the spokes/chain, cell phone/“hi mom” poster in the way, or some drunken loonies trying to run alongside the riders, it’s always something else.

Honestly, I'm surprised that there aren't issues more often.

motorbikes are making room because of the fans.. ultimately fans fault for slowing the bikes thus slowing TP..

Sure looked to me like it made a difference watching in real time. He certainly stopped riding.

He had approx 500 meters after the way cleared to run it again.

The crash by Neilands in stage 15 with ~36k to go was extraordinary. He tried to take a bottle from the Vittel neutral water service bike going through curves on the downhill. After watching the action a few times, my thoughts shifted from "damn, another moto-caused incident" to Neiland called the bike up, ran wide, doinked off the front tire, and I have no idea how that moto pilot stopped the bike and didn't run him over.

+1 on wow, there are a lot of problems, but I'm shocked there aren't more.

It's kind of the same way I feel when I look at the density of the peloton.

Several fan-caused crashes on other stages.
