Bicycle Heaven (Pittsburgh) in 360
Walk with me through this wild place! It's in Pittsburgh, so if you're in the area and/or starting/ending the Great Allegheny Passage Trail, make sure that you give this place a visit!
NOTE: This is a 360 video. It's best if you view it full screen. And then you can look around by clicking and dragging with your mouse (on a computer) or if you are on a phone or tablet, moving the phone or dragging with your finger.
EDIT: Tried to fix link so that it works on phones

That brings back some memories. Saw all sorts of bicycles, tricycles and pedal cars that I had and played with when a wee kid in early 60's Chicago where I lived then. Even think I saw a old Schwinn Phantom that my much older brother had in the late 40's or early 50's.

I am just liking it before I watch it I have seen other vids and that place is awesome. You are one lucky person!
Update: I started watching it and that is freakin' cool. You can literally manipulate it and see 360 technology is crazy these days!

Discovered Bike Heaven when we were in town to see the Rolling Stones in October 2021. Blown away. Loved it.
Have since partnered with owner/founder Craig Morrow to get three of our bikes shipped from NY and added to his collection. Nice feeling to know they are immortalized out there.

Wow. I’m flabbergasted, just like the video presenter. There’s so much stuff there. You couldn’t even find the part half the time if you were the owner and knew where to look.

There are some owners who know exactly where everything is or what something is that hasn't been relevant since the 70s or 80s and was produced in such small numbers. Most of these guys who have been in the industry for 50+ years have minds like a trap and a photographic memory and were around before computers were common so they did all the inventory by hand and by brain and it never left them. One of the shops I worked at the owner could remember employees SSNs or addresses who hadn't worked for the company for 25+ years without hesitation or notes or anything. These foks are a bit savant-ish but when you have such a collection you have to be to at least a small degree.

Adding a few photos of Bicycle Heaven in Pittsburgh. It's a must-visit for any cyclist starting or ending the GAP.

also - the Warhol museum is close to Bicycle Heaven
and when you are on the GAP near Ohiopyle (an especially neat area) can also check out two Frank Lloyd Wright houses - Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob

This is just insane. How do they stay in business though? It seems like the museum is free.

wow, $48,000 for a Bowden Spacelander. The money in that place - sheesh!
I enjoyed your video and pictures SO MUCH. Thank you.
This is on my bucket list now.
I could not stop thinking as I was watching; "how do they clean this place??"

Bump. Just visited the place. I think a better title should be “Bicycle Hoarder’s Heaven.” But even so, worth a visit. Here is a pic of the front of the building, if you look closely you can see mrs datlas on a schwinn aero-dyne.

Love the bike in the tree thing. Our house backs to the woods, and there is a small stream that runs way back there. I found a tree at the water's edge that had done the same thing to one of those metal and wood Flexible Flyer type sleds and was about 8 ft off the ground. First time my nieces and nephew came ove for Thanksgiving as kids, I took them down there and told them a story as to how the kid that owned it had seen strange things and was never seen again, they didn't sleep a wink that night...
