Free mid to late 80's Peugeot Frame and Fork 60cm CTC
Prefer local pickup in the San Jose area. I can ship, I will pack it, buyer arranges the shipping and sends me the shipping documents.
I'd like to say I identified the bike to be a..... But I can't. I picked it up yesterday for a parts bike. Before I bought it I was convinced it was a late 80's PZ10.
As purchased in case this gives you a clue to the model:
Campy SR Front and Rear Derailleur, brake calipers (later ones with the scripted Campagnolo and tirangular) and levers plus DT shifter levers. The rest was a frankenbike with 10sp rear wheel, 600 front hub and crank. I knew this from the add and assumed it was a the PZ10. Now I'm not sure, the fork is mis matched (still Peugeot) the 531 sticker looks original doesn't have "professional" written on it.
What I'm giving away..
Frame
Fork
no-name headset (was on bike)
no name (that I could find) stem
Peugeot bars
Bottom bracket (I assume 600 try-color era, but who knows), I can throw in the wheels (600 front hub) Mis matched rear hub, matching hoops, four broken spokes on rear hub. No cassette.
Let me know if this is something someone wants. If not, I'll send it to the co-op

Hey SwimmerMike, that model is a PH501. I had the same frame in a 62. It's a decent midgrade Peugeot. They were equipped with Huret Sachs drivetrain.
Anyhow, kudos to you for passing this one along. If I were local, I would be happy to get it for my son.
Was available in two colors

Hi Roger -
Thanks for the ID, I hoped someone would know off the top of their head. I knew it wan't the PZ10 by the tubing, but I couldn't figure out how a pretty matched set of Campy SR would get on any bike but the highest end. All I know is I picked up a lot of parts for the next build I'm working on (Windsor Pro)

That must have been a well loved Pug to have been fitted with SR group ! I have a PH10LE that is sitting in one of my sheds waiting for me to rebuild. It seems pretty light but I haven’t weighed it. I am told that the internally brazed bikes are nice. I guess I will find out some day. Somebody could have a nice bike, and a place to put all those extra parts!

If anyone is interested I will be slow in responding due to travel this week. If no takers by the weekend when I get back it will go to the Co-op.

Any idea on what is the max size tire it will take? Will it fit a 32mm?

Glad it found a home. What is the bike exchange like? I wish we had anything resembling that here.

I've only been there in person one time. I was there with my son and a group to volunteer to refurbish bikes for underprivileged kids. I thought it was a great charity and will spend time volunteering there when time frees up. When I learned that CapnJohnny volunteered there I've started donating everything directly to him (He lives a mile from me). I generally am looking for specific things, so it has worked out well where I keep the garage clean and the SVBE gets some good projects/parts.
