Hood River, OR?
Hey Pacific NW,
I'm going to be relocating soon, to Hood River, OR. I have a few questions about the local cycling scene that haven't been answered to the level of detail I deem necessary, through various searches.
-Are there any group rides leaving from the downtown area of Hood River or White Salmon?
-Are there any teams, particularly those catering to the Cat1/2 crowd, based in the area?
-I know about OBRA, and it seems pretty great in terms of the information provided, and general organization. Are there any other sites that are helpful in that regard?
Thanks!

Ciao Duke,
You should try to connect with OBRA3 in the forums or look here: https://www.veloreview.com/obra3/
Also did you look at the message board on the OBRA site?
https://list.obra.org/posts/obra/2009/2
On the site they also have a team list.
I am in PDX so not sure about the HR scene.
Ciao
Paolo

I've visited the Columbia River Gorge once. Did some great MTB near there.
But...
Sell your bikes. Do it now.

Oh man, luck guy! Don't know much about the road bike scene, but if you are inclined, get yourself a Mountain Bike. Lot's of great riding in that area. https://www.camba.info/
*MTB, at least one road bike, and a singlespeed road/TT rig.

If you are into lift assisted DH runs (I am),
Hit up Mt. Hood Ski-Bowl at Government Camp.
Good fun for sure.

The real reason I'm replying is just to add that you should also check out the Washington Bike Racing site. Since you're right on the state line, a lot of WSBA races will be as close to you as they are to us (us meaning seattle metro area), if not closer - there are (regionally) important stage races/omniums in Wenatchee, Spokane & Walla Walla, lots of road races in the south puget sound/chehalis area, etc. Of course, that's in addition to all the great races down in OR...
