Need help from Bend-ers and Porltanders

I'm going to be in the PNW this weekend with my bike and want to ride it somewhere. The caveat on these rides is limited time and fixed starting point. I race in NorCal (as a 4) and am pretty fit these days despite a nagging knee problem, so I'm not too concerned with whatever hills you have to throw at me (not that I'm asking someone to string a death ride together for me). I think I'll have about 3-4 hours to ride on Saturday morning leaving from portland relatively early (around downtown and 205 -- I can get a better idea of where soon, I hope),

and varying amounts of time on Sundary and/or Tuesday leaving from here:

Does anyone know decent rideable routes from near these places? I'm not big on cue sheets, so the fewer turns, etc the better. I hope I'm not asking too much or out of place here.

Go to Sister, take a rigth to McKenzie pass, if open continue downhill as far as you want to go, turn around and go home, or if you have time go all the way down to the end and take a rigth and climb back via Santiam pass.
Enjoy the weather.

It was COLD at the top 54 miles, 2:52 on the timer

i also found a spent GU packet at the top. Yes, I picked it up, but gave a little ''tut tut" when I did

Cool, did you go to the top and back? How was the ride?
Thanks for the pictures.
Ciao

top and back. The ride was really nice. Riding on a closed road is something special, especially when it's extended uphill. The weather turned sour when I rounded a bend 2-3 miles from the top. I finished and then turned around since I had to get back, but those top couple of miles were FREEZING. I was screaming out loud (which is kind of cathartic when no one is around) about how my hands hurt. once I got back down to where it was sunny it just resumed being a pleasant, albeit windy ride.

Thanks for point me that way
