Once after failing to unclog a toilet i had to call a plumber -- who had to resort to using an industrial drain auger through the vent on top of the roof --- her response? "Oh how i miss (insert ex husbands name) ! He could fix anything ! You cant even unclog a toilet!"
To which my reply was "I did fix the problem! With my debit card !"
Rant over --- i guess that actually DID get into TMI territory
--sorry gents

So you have a clogged toilet in your bedroom? Who designed your house, Elon Musk?

Sort of -- mater bathroom
But the "Youre doing it wrong !!!!!! " has also applied to replacing under sink garbage disposals (I dont know how a human being can break 2 of those in a year but that woman can )
I also cant drive, install toilet paper properly and in the right direction, have no work ethic, sleep too much, drink too much beer, watch television shows that dont support a peaceful, harmonious lifestyle -- and most famously ----- i cant even swim with dolphins correctly because after analyzing all the photographs that were taken at the dolphin swim, it was reported to me that i was not "displaying enough enthusiasm - almost like i didnt even want to be there !!!!!! " (she uses exclamation points a lot )
But sigh - thats what love is all about
but to get back on topic - im sure i could mess up letting an auto driving car squire me about town too

I saw something that said 1/3 of all crashes in the U.S. were caused by texting. Unsourced, so I'm just passing it on so you can pass it on unsourced.
If that's true, probably the low quality tesla self-driving is better.
I traveled to DC last week and all the Tesla drivers were really tentative. There was always heavy traffic though, so I did wonder if it was the way that autopilot (sic) behaves in heavy traffic.

True, but to keep up with Larry (or to pass him), even the quietest car is making a lot of road noise..

I am amazed that deaf bicycle riders even live one day on the streets.

You turn into traffic without looking, but it's the drivers that are clueless?

Mirrors, I suggest mirrors, that and beginning to understand that you are not a bat, and don't navigate or judge potential obstacles by echolocation. Contrary to popular, on this forum anyway, human's have a very bad sense directional hearing. Instead of relying on sound to sense traffic coming up behind you, use a mirror, or look over your shoulder, both are infinitely more effective.

I have noticed Model S owners tending to floor it but then why else would you buy one?

I'm more concerned about being nailed by a pickup truck than a Tesla. Two issues there. (1) some of them have mirrors that stick out several feet from the truck body, right about head level. I can easily picture me getting hit even as the truck stays in its lane. (2) some of them are pulling trailers that are wider than the trucks. I can easily picture the truck getting by me and then me getting hit by the trailer.
