Winter tires, female commuter
Hi my not so sporty girlfriend needs a new set of tyres for winter commuting.
she rides her classic old school bicycle (shopper cycle ?) with a front engine.
Mostly on paved roads but often in wet and slippery conditions with leaves mud or a bit of snow. (Small roads that connects two small towns)
she does not want studs and puncture resistance is of great importance.
since it is a classic bicycle with 28” wheels and fenders I thought about g-one from Schwalbe or another gravel tyre.
any good ideas or experiences I need to hear before I decide?
best regards Jesper - Denmark.

I switched over to the G-One Bite to try out for winter. Not good in thick muddy conditions, which I encountered only off-road. Had no issues so far in the rain on wet leaves on bike trails. I run tubeless.

I would not ride G ones for a commuter of any kind. they suck on leaves, mud, snow, ice puncture protection is weak, and they wear pretty fast. they are a fast rolling tire though.

Continental Top Contact Winter would be the normal choice for these requirements.
