What do you eat before, during, and after a ride?
Any recommendations? During a ride I usually just eat a cliff bar to gain some more energy what do you eat to go longer?

Before: omelette and two cups of coffee.
During: G2 and Little Debbie lemon pies.
After: well, this weekend I had an M&M Blizzard but I don't usually recommend it. It was good, though.

I have a bad habit of not eating before a ride. Mistake. I try to force some toast or flour tortilla. It has to be something dry for me or it just doesn't sit well.
During: Tons of water and a bottle with Accerade. Depends on how long of a ride but the group I ride with tends to have a rest stop at fast food type places (Corner Bakery, Carl's Jr, etc). I will sometime crave a cookie or a small soda. I also like Honey Stinger Waffles.
After: Milk with a protein mix.

Do people really eat the same thing every time they go for a ride? If I tried to make a list like this it would be 100+ pages long.
Though I do often crave nachos and beer after a particularly long ride...

It all depends on how long and fast the ride is and what your training level is. As you get fitter you will start burning more fat for fuel and you don't have to eat as much during the ride.
For early morning rides lasting about 2.5 hours, starting at 7am and burning around 2000 Calories the answer is nothing, nothing and a lot afterwards when I get home.
If it is a century ride starting in the morning that will have me on the bike for hours and burns 4000+ Calories:
I have a nice big breakfast, about 1000 Cal with milk, eggs, almond butter, cheese, bacon and home made bread.
Grab a banana and some 100 Cal bars for the ride.
Have a nice big lunch half way into the ride including a good burger, fries and beer.

This is what I did for my 75 mile training ride yesterday:
Before: Normal breakfast, maybe oatmeal and an egg sandwich
During: Hammer Nutrition gel, cliff bars
After: EVERYTHING I COULD POSSIBLY FIND; pasta, chicken, beer, potato chips...the hunger really set in after the ride, along with screaming legs!

Before: typically, i eat nothing because i'm running late. but if i get up early enough, i'll eat just about anything. cereal, oatmeal, banana, leftover dinner from the night before...i just make sure not to eat too much because then i'll feel sick on my ride. and i make sure to be hydrated if i get up early enough.
During: for long rides (longer than two hours), i make sure whatever i'm eating has electrolytes. other than that, not picky. whatever i happen to pick up at REI. i like honey stinger waffles, honey stinger gels, hammer gels, pure organic food bars, larabars, clif shot bloks, or sometimes a banana, candy bar, or dried fruit leathers.
After: just about anything i want!

At mile 92 of my double metric yesterday I stopped and had a dozen hot wings and a big ass plate of bacon cheese fries...it was glorious. The rest of the ride was fueled by clif bars and Perpetuem. I had a big bowl of oatmeal with walnuts before the ride.

I actually don't remember, maybe I should sell my bike. I don't even remember the last time I rode it. September maybe?

Before: Old fashion oatmeal with fruit and maple syrup. If I'm running late, I'll do peanut butter or nutella on whole wheat toast.
During: Banana and a homemade cliff bar or fig newtons.
After: A giant glass of chocolate milk with my usual lunch or dinner.

^^^^ This, with some variation. ^^^^ I tried orange juice before a hard ride once and that was a big mistake.

Well my biggest weekly ride is 60 miles, and I usually just have a banana or nothing at all before. Then I made a peanut butter and jelly and eat half of it on the way to the turn around, and the other half on the way back. At our stop I eat a cliff bar, and then after, whatever is available. I usually always get in the mood for pizza. And besides that, my other "big" ride is 45 miles and usually just drink water and maybe a gu during the ride if I need it. Nothing before and nothing out of the usual after.

I was wondering the same thing. And how do you burn eggs?
when I first looked at this I thought wow, cool diner food. Awesome, but then I thought 3 eggs is a lot. But why does he eat jam instead of jelly? cheap paper towel instead of a place mat? What kind of diner is this? an why zip lock bags? Odd plate for a diner. Even more odd is that odd potato thing that looks like pineapple...
gross I cant eat dinner now....

I eat a ham sandwich at 7a.
a small coffee at 7:30a
We roll out at 7:40a
8:30a I slam a PowerGel at the meet up spot
10a I usually get dropped by the main group so I rip open a bar or rice crispy treat.
11a we meet to head home, finish the bar I opened an hour ago.
12 I eat a 3 egg omelette, beer and coffee an 4 bacon strips.
3p I wake up from my nap to enjoy my Saturday.

For rides over 2 hours ... aim to consume 200-300 calories per hour. Eat whatever you like.

How long to digest before rolling out? If that were inside me when starting, it wouldn't be inside me for long.
