I just joined today! Back in my College days I worked at a small bike shop for a few years. I started riding with my old Schwinn 10-spd, then moved up to a Windsor racing bike. My oldest brother convinced me to do some Criterium racing with the Windsor, which I did, and stunk at it. In 1975 while working at the bike shop, I purchased an MKM English frame that was gorgeous. Since I worked at a bike shop, I was able to equip my frame with Campy Record equipment. This bike was so much better and faster than my old Windsor! Then I purchase a Lejune track bike from a friend and did some track racing, which was very scary, but I did pretty good and moved up a class in my first few months of racing. Now I own a beater daily rider bike and I still own my MKM which I will be selling soon (I'm too old to really ride it much).
