NOS full chrome frameset Bottecchia(?) ID HELP
I would like to know if it is Bottecchia?
I just found an article with an identical fork that has the same pantograph.
Anyone know more about this? The frame is new old stock.

Doesn't Bottecchia still use a riveted head badge? Are there homes in the head tube?

If it is not the one you refer to, also check this (and take note of the top tube cable guides beside the fork crown): THE FLYING WHEEL: 1981 Team Hoonved Bottecchia

the fork is a Bottecchia product, but as for the frame itself: couldn't say. Has a lot of unfamiliar details that sure don't look like "Carnielli" to me, but perhaps a much later product?

The serial number looks decidedly Asian to me. March '88 Kuwahara, perhaps?

One thing that was common on 80's bottechia was the semi wrap around seat stay tips at the seat lug. They did not wrap around the seat lug as much as the ones on some older English bikes, but the seat stay tips are bent in enough that it gives a similar effect. I don't see this happening on the subject frameset.
Re-branded framesets usually also carry the original format for serial numbers at the BB. The serial number on this frameset does not follow the 80's Bottecchia format.....so most likely the frame is not a Bottechia and the fork is not original to the frame.
Still a good quality frame though, judging from the brazed on decals like the nice star reinforcement at the bottle cage bosses.
