New supplier since VeloCals folded?
Wondering if any of you who do restoration are aware of a supplier who has even half the catalog that this fine supplier did.
(Had I known they were going to close, I would have ordered tons more transfers in advance. )

There are a bunch of miscellaneous makers/sellers of various bike decals on e-bay now. Use a Google image search to see what pops up for what you need.

b) he made a similar-to-one-he-had decal (model-name change) when I asked, sent him a photo & tracing, done.
c) he's fast
d) the postage is fair
e) I asked him if he knew about Velocals shutting and what his plans were, he said don't worry, he'll be doing this for some time yet.

I wouldn't fret about the "loss" of Velocals. My STICKERS (not decals) from them were not very good at all....and I paid a lot extra for "the good stuff".

I was a loyal customer of Velocals as well and their quality was second to none but after trying a few suppliers I'd have to recommend

Those are sometimes available, but you pay more, the variety is less (save custom work, in which case you pay MORE).
Some have options for the thickness of the plastic on which they're printed, the thinner ones approach the fragility of true decals.
What I liked about Velocals was that they allowed you to get so *many* combinations of colour including metallics - both body and outline - of a lot of their stuff:

I actually used two different suppliers, one from Europe that I won't name because I don't want to be accused of libel, and VeloCals, which were vastly superior. YMMV.

Death fork? Naaaah!!
What I'll miss is their selection of Schwinn, Cannondale, and Centurion graphics, along with the many, many options you could choose. The Eruo and Aussie folks don't offer many of these, alas.

I am pretty mad at myself for not seeing that they were shutting down the bike decal operation. I have two projects that have been underway (VERY slowly) for a couple of years, so I had plenty of time. The projects are mid 80s mtn bikes, a Stumpjumper Sport and a Univega Alpina Pro, both of which I got with extremely rough paint. The Stumpjumper is already powdercoated and the Univega will be (some day). I know Velocals had decals for the former, and at least had Univega decals for the latter. None of the alternative Velocals provided links to has anything close, for either, nor has anyone expressed interest in making the art from my photos. I know that Groody Bros, powdercoaters, talked with Velocals about buying their artwork, but they could not make it work. Hopefully one of these other vendors will be able to help.

- Once I say okay, I give a try, I'll come up with something, but it neither will be fast, nor Gus Salmon Quality
- I'm giving you the vector graphics needed for printing them, they are endlessly scalable from ant's feet to tanker ship, but it's your thing to find a suitable print shop around your area
- help others you bump into with the need for the same
- you can do whatever you want with the file or printouts (I mean yes, you can even sell them) but you can't stop me doing the same <joking> if one day I try to open "LattzCals" </joking>

VeloCals was Great, ordered several decals from them without issue..The one time I did have a problem they sent me out a new Decal set on their dime within a few days.

I did not. Mostly I just looked at the available decals different vendors had and if they didn't have anything close (like no Univega at all) I didn't bother asking them. The few I specifically asked just said 'no, don't have it,' which I took as a signal not to ask them to do something custom. But I will ask YJ. Also Lattz!
