Trek Multitrack 7600 in green???
Hello everybody,
Here is a picture of a Multitrack 7600 in green. I have looked through all Trekīs catalogues of the 90īs but the bike was never listed with a greenish colour. I have searched google as well and I could not find a Multitrack 7600 in green. Have you ever seen a Multitrack 7600 in green or was the bike repainted? I am absolutely confused! Can someone who has way more experience than me help me out, please? In order to look at the picture you have to click on the link below! You have to type https in front of the link!

Some models sold in Europe were different from the US. That looks like factory paint and I've seen Treks in that color.

Does that mean you're getting this one? I hope so, it looks pretty nice. And welcome to Bike Forums!
In the Hybrid Bikes forum there's a very long thread titled "Show Your Trek Multitrack!" You can keep busy for hours looking at the pretties, then add your own.

I'm a big fan of the early-mid 90s Multi-tracks. I have a 92 520 that is the same as the steel Multi-Tracks but with some extra braze-ons and slightly thinner tubing.
The 7600 (and original, all aluminum 7900) don't seem to get the hype I think they deserve. Trek's aluminum frames at that time were great. The 7600/7900 also sports 1 1/8" headtubes which opens up modern threadless fork options, if that's your thing. The version muxens posted also has the improved fd cable guide braze-on by the seat tube cluster. The original 7900 has no cable stop braze-on and ran full housing to a top pull fd which looks a bit messy in my opinion. I think the tire clearance on these is less than the steel Multi-tracks, maybe 38mm? Still plenty of rubber.
I've been eyeing up a few of these frames for sale locally, all of them are affordably priced, and I'm having a hard time not hoarding them. I've had a silly idea for a while about putting on a carbon cantilever fork to do a lightweight cyclocross sort of build. If I could find some of those carbon Ritchey bullmoose bars too... beautiful madness. Maybe luckily for me, they maxed out at a 22" frame which ends up being just a little too small for me at 6' 4". Even the 23" 520 I have is a little small. It's worth noting the sizing on these is more similar to vintage mtbs than road bikes.

Finally!
Finally, it has made itīs way into my flat! Great frame from 1997 but I have to strip the whole bike, clean it and rebuild it. And I will post photos in the "Show Your Trek Multitrack!" Thread as well

I am going to strip the whole bike clean it and rebuild it with new shifters, V-Brakes, brake levers different crank, catridge bottom bracket etc.
It still has the original Tange Seiki Passage headset, hopefully it is a keeper!
