+1 -- I've bought two quality frames on tips from this thread: one on Boston CL, picked up & shipped by a true gentleman BF member there, and another on Baltimore CL that turned out to be a sale by a BF member. I have bought another three frames with a lot of potential, from Philly, Denver and the West Coast, as a result of my interest in the "what do I have here?" genre of threads (which I find to be some of the most entertaining ones) -- bikes that turned out to be the wrong size, or just the wrong project for someone who ended up owning them for awhile. Another three came from the local NYC CL, independent of BF.

Hey bcoppola, we'll have to do that soon. Anyway, as promised the Craigslist Guerciotti I just picked up on Monday. Mind you, I haven't had a chance to clean it up, this is how I got it. There are a few small problems. The decals are all crumbling off, there are a few nicks and a scrape on the bottom of the right peddle, and..... well, that's it. Enjoy!

For sale is a 21" Torpado Road Bike. The bike has Shimano 600 components and Aero bars. Made in Italy.. 16 speed and very light weight. The seat is made by Celle and is the "San Marco". The price tag was $75 when it was put on the bike. The peddles are Exus Brand, fits "Look" style cleats. There are small rust spots on the frame, none bigger that 4mm.

If you are into early Mt. bikes here is a true collectable. This is a classic Fat Chance Kicker mtb in very good condition. Complete with Shimano XT(deer head) group. It is all original from the Cook Bros BB to the Hite Rite seat post extener. Only major flaw is a long scratch on the top tube. It has been lightly used as a town bike, not a whole lot of miles. The Ride is very comfortable. The serial no. is 86732. Check Monbat website for the 1985 artical on the Kicker.(https://mombat.org/Fat_Chance.htm)
It can be arranged for pick up or delivery to the boston area for a transprot fee. Email me for more pics.

I vagely remember going over to an auto salvage yard on W. John St with my uncle as a kid. They lived only a few block away from there.
