Recommendation for pedal and shoe
Hey folks, does anyone have a recommendation for a pedal with an SPD clip that can also be used comfortably wearing a shoe with no cleat?

Do a search for Wellgo WPD 95B. I think that's what you're looking for. Cheers

Shimano PD-T800s would be the ideal choice if you want good grip on the non-SPD side. If you are looking for something a little less costly the PD-EH500s are a good choice (an upgraded version of the class A-530s popular with touring cyclists)

I just bought the Exustar version of that kind of pedal, I'd guess very similar in quality and price to the Wellgo version. I happened to buy them from an EBay seller (new) for about $50.
E-PM86 (exustar.com)
They're compatible with Shimano SPD cleats, fwiw.
They seem well made and work great. I've always had excellent luck with these sort of economy pedals (Wellgo and others).

I use a pair of Deckster when I want to ride without cleats. It allows me to use any of my bikes with regular shoes. Just so I can be that guy riding a Colnago in old cargo shorts and tennis shoes.

Thanks for the recommendations. By the way, I'm not actually a newbie. Used to post regularly a few years ago but don't remember what my user name was.

Take a look at Shimano PD-T421's, that's what I have on both bikes and they're great!! Double sided and they don't use spikes so they're useable with street shoes or shoes with cleats.
