stole your bike
2010 "Last of the Americanos" CAAD9 5. Just hit mile 3000 on it (including the sprint tri I did this weekend where I mashed gears past two Motebecanes - and the only thought in my mind was - "I'm not being beat by a bikesdirect.com bike"
Flawless bike. Upgraded to the Ultrega SL crank.

i thought about brake pads but ones i found were for carbon rims, but are also used for alum too and it doesn't really show when inserted in brake shoes. can only see it from front or back if you pay attention too. (dont want to replace anything if i really dont need to)
other ideas where to just get the livestrong jersey suit so i can leave the bike alone. or any other kind of apparel/accessories?

I was going to go with gold brake calipers (same brand), a gold seat clamp, gold
nipples/hubs and possibly a gold chain, just to add a little splash to the bike.
The yellow SwissStops can be used for aluminum, but the green ones are best for aluminum.
I'm trying to blacken out the bike as much as possible.
The chainrings are screaming when I look at the CAAD,
but with time they'll get duller and they won't stand out as much.
Still, it's the one component that I can take "not" being blacked out
because it looks so sick in person with the gray Ultegra SL crank arms.

Good angle, bad lighting
Bad angle, better lighting:
The Campagnolo kool-aid is costly, yet strangely satisfying and delicious.

BB30, right? That means at some time in the future,
you "could" slap on a Hollowgram crankset on it.
Me jealous!

i just replaced my ea70 aero bars for the 90. any interest in buying a used one? there are signs of cracks which i need to check beforehand with mechanics. they say it may be only the clear coat which doesn't affect integrity of the structure. if i can confirm this, would you be interested still? measurement is 42cm.

the 70s came with my caad9. though they were my first ever carbon fiber bars the hand placement at the drops was just not for me. i have round alum bars on old bike which i prefer more. the bottom of the drops is only 2 inches long and i usually have my hands at the bottom ends of the drops, but the 70s didnt allow that. the angle at mid-section gives you only one position. its not as stiff as my alum bars but it pays off on longer rides when it vibration free, same as the 90s i have now. the tops are flat which i LOVED when riding upright. everybodys different though...if you are a fan of anatomic bends, i say go for it

I've always been a fan of traditional round bends. I've got a set of Easton EC90 SLX bars with an anatomic bend if you are interested.
