The best bike of our age - $50
Hewn out of old Valyrian steel this little chariot from the sleeping century of the cob webbed past has carried me over many treacherous adventure-filled furlongs. It's components are all from the future including a flux capacitor - shown in pictographs. This little chariot once surmounted a shattered bottle of Moby Dick pickles and escaped without damage to it's hooves. It once swerved to valiantly save rider from a rouge squirrel only to viciously slay a feral feline which was causing irreparable damage to our ecosystem, having single pawedly causing the demise of the noble mermaid, steadfast unicorn, and venerable dragon - king of all beasts and women. This little chariot has seen battle with a mechanized future chariot and lived to tell the tale in smokey taverns filled with buxom wenches. It participated in the infamous sprint triathlon of the Shire in which He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named consumed any tribute too slow to ride into the drowsy glittering sunset of hope - a reassurance that our menial existence is not just to be slaves to mediocrity but to show meaning by mounting what is truly blue, wheeled, and does NOT include my pink water bottle holder.

I set up an IFTTT recipe to record all CL bicycle postings in my area that have 'stolen' in the title, and those BMX bikes have made my data cleaning a little trickier. Blast!

Pink water bottle, ROUGE squirrel. I'll bet that rouge wasn't color coordinated with road mayhem too.

Great for going straight. Don't talk about pedalling on corners or speed bumps.

Kink in the frame behind headtube might cause some quirky handling.
And the owner says:"Cycling Trek Multi Track 21 Speed Bicycle. This is a Very Original Lightly Used Trek Multi Track in Purple and Black. The Seat Tube is Cro Moly as Shown. The Brake Pads are Also Only Lightly Used. The Frame Measures 19 Inches from the Center of the Crank to the Top of the Seat Tube. The Seat Height in Pictures is Approximately 33 Inches from the Ground and Will Adjust 1-2 Inches Lower or 3-4 Inches Higher for a Taller Rider. The Stand Over Height Just in Front of the Seat is 29". The Shifting Components are the Original Shimano as Shown. It Shifts and Stops Very Good."

It could donate a good rear-end for a cargo bike build.

Random observation - I love when someone proudly lists the fact that a 25-year-old bike has the original tires.

If it came to the local bike co-op, they'd tear it down and sell off the pieces, and I realize the value of the parts can add up, if one puts the time into retail sales by the part.
The fork looks slightly bent. It is hard to tell. We don't know the condition of the front wheel. Most everything in the bike looks pretty basic. Single walled wheels, etc.

You know how we hate on people for getting the name of the bike wrong even though it's right there on the bike? Well this is sort of the opposite situation.

** SUPER RARE 1967 STEERING WHEEL BIKE *THE WHEEL ** - $2250 (Hampton)
"Super rare 1967 the wheel steering wheel bike these are nearly impossible to find especially in this nice of shape seat is perfect ! $2250 757-7one9 - 88six4
**serious only cash only face the face transaction scammers don't bother I've heard it all no shipping so please don't waste your time or mine asking"
https://richmond.craigslist.org/bik/6091731639.html
(I don't know or care whether the pricing is appropriate. I'm not even sure why I think this is "wacky" but to me it is out of whack on so many levels... On the other hand, there may be wads of cash or cocaine in the seat tubes and "gas tank"?)

Some of these oddities are have crazy prices. Original "Orange Krate" bikes are also pretty crazy, although apparently Schwinn made a repro version, so that confuses things.

Trek Bike - $35 (N.E. Raleigh)
"Selling a nice Trek bike with flashing lights. $35/OBO
Only serious inquires."
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/6089203740.html
(My "serious inquires" are: How does this thing work? What youngster has ten inch legs and three foot arms? I can not picture a child sitting on what presumably is the saddle and peddling and reaching the bars. How does WRFF equal Trek? And where are the flashing lights and how come my '87 Elance 400D didn't come with flashing lights? Is it direct drive? Where's the headbadge? So many serious inquiries...so little sanity remaining...)
(I like the wheelbarrow in the background!)

Your New Tourer!
Steel frame Bicycle -- ideal for touring/long distance - $250 (Durham)
"Selling my road bike - built from scratch with help of bike shop in Greensboro. Built with touring/long distance trips in mind. It's a steel frame with hefty tires. Includes bike rack and cages on pedals. Shimano gear.
It is 18" from the crankset to the seat post. I'm 5'7" and it rides well for me.
It has been a reliable source of transportation for me, haven't had any issues! Simply decided it was time to switch to a lighter frame/commuter style bike. Thanks !"
https://raleigh.craigslist.org/bik/6082124658.html
(Baseball Bell! I refrain from further comment as I am afraid the seller is sincere...)

You would have loved the ad I posted when I sold an old Sears/Steyr step-through 3-speed; orginal 60 year-old tires. And actually rideable. The tiny lady that bought it was an avid roadie and agreed "At the speed I'm likely to be riding this bike, they're actually probably OK." Still pretty soft and sturdy at 35psi.
