cable holder fix
the cable holder near the derailleur broke.
(im referring to the piece near the derailleur were the cable came in and in the end the cable housing came out).
The peice is totally detached to the frame, do you think the epoxy will hold the piece? i'm asking this because usually i have a friend who can soldering with brass brazing but for now he can't help me.

If a torch is applied you will need to spot paint.

Buongiorno Peppino,
in inglese this is called the "chain stay stop"
the simplest repair is to replace it with a clamp-on one
as made by Campag, Gian Robert, Huret, Rino, ROTO, Shimano, Simplex, Suntour, Zeus & many others
using heat means you will need to deal with damaged paint or plating

If you post a photo, you are more likely to get more accurate suggestions.

i had a free time today.
since i had to use epoxy for another project i decided to try to glue anyways.
Also i made a cable holder as the one you guys shared above, from two pieces. One is from a broker derailleur and the other one is a clamp used to hold housing on the top tube.
Is the epoxy will not work i'm glad about the second option i've made. Definitely the homemade chain stay stopper need to be refined a bit more.
For a first try with trash parts i'm very happy.

only one problem. you put it on the wrong side of the bike.
try running the cable between the spokes, that should work

That's to the point, looks tidy and purpose-built.
The limitation with adhesives is that, brass being many times stronger, epoxy or urethane adhesives needs a larger surface area to spread the load over a bigger adhesive area.
JB-Weld is more strong/rigid, and bonds well to steel. So with a built-up fillet, direct bonding of a "diver's helmet" type of housing stop might even be feasible.
But with your creativity, you could surely make a housing stop with a broad bonding area of perhaps 1 square cm, using materials from your garage.
A creative repair like that might actually compliment all but maybe the most artistic or collectible of frames, especially if you can paint match.
