Thanks. I've also been the chiro and PT routes and have various stretching exercises. I do a (very) little lifting with barbells and actually just started doing pushups a few weeks ago. Need to stay disciplined and maybe increase a bit even aside from hoping to resolve neck issues. With cycling as my main exercise, my legs and cardio are pretty good for my age but upper body and core needs more attention. I also do 5 minutes of planks most days (not holding one position but varying across several positions).
Anyway thanks again (and apologies for distracting the thread).

I wouldn’t go near a chiro but an osteopath once performed a miracle on my neck.
Best year yet last year (I’m just a few years into qualifying for this group) with 11500km ridden, 116800m of climbing and 423 hours in the saddle. Need to plan a trip to some real mountains. Maybe Italy, my club is trying to put something together for later this year.

Same here. You guys mean dumbells, right?

I actually got uncomfortable with the chiro and stopped seeing him. He was a good guy but, right or wrong, I just got nervous with those neck adjustments they do and moved on to a PT.

Yeah, that's a dumbbell but it's not a barbell. That's one-handed (the pair of them are obviously two-handed so maybe my description was ambiguous )
