Trunk Bag Recommendations

I need a rack and trunk bag combo for my Raleigh. The rack can't be a seatpost rack because the rack would require me raising my seatpost more than it is, and it's at the perfect height now.

I'd like something I could remove easily and possibly use the rack for panniers as necessary, or even a trunk and panniers at the same time if the situation warrants.

As some of you know, I'm planning on going car free within the next two months, so I need to get a workable solution together. I'm really not big on panniers for now; a trunk bag is more what I would like.

Any suggestions are much appreciated

and a topeak trunk bag. A friend just got one (but he got the seatpost style). The trunk bag just slides and clicks in. The trunk he got has got small panniers that expand also, he is able to fit his laptop into one of them.

Looks like a good combo.

I have the biggest, cheapest rack-top trunk bag from Nashbar, and I love it. I think it cost me like $25 on sale. Awesome.

Ah, Ortlieb makes them in yellow! and waterproof! Only no attachment points, but I reckon I could use a cargo net... no reflective strip or light attachment point either, but its very waterproof, sorry... droning.. https://www.ortlieb.com/_prod.php?lan...dukt=rackpack#

I was looking at those at REI on Sunday. You just push in the button, and the Topeak trunk bag slides off the back of the rack.

I have the topeak trunk bag/rack combo. It works very well… Easy on an off… At a cost of significant weight! It stores a lot, which is good for this time of year when it’s in the 30’s on the way in and upper 60’s on the way home.

That is the most fantastic rack bag I've seen yet! I WANT ONE! Now I just have to find it for less than $75. That's the price of luxury and quality, I suppose.
