Ride Across Wisconsin
Ride Across Wiscinsin. This showed up on my facebook. One day 235 miles!!!! Or two day 135 miles first day, 100 second day. Well I'm out. How many cyclists can do a 235 mile day? Probably the 60 somethings from back in the day that are diehard dinos. Or maybe after Baraboo you pick up dernys and motorpace into Milwaukee like the now defunct Bordeoux- Paris. What a ride though.

It's not just the mileage that gets me; it's the timing. I can ride a lot farther in September than I can in May. My hat is off to the hardy souls who can do RAW.

idk, but August might be doable pending the weather isn't all windy. Would not be able to do it this year.

Never done it. Friends who have have done it very very fast i.e., 24 mph averages. it seems that big groups gather and blast across the state.

I would do this. Shorter than an Ohio River-to-Lake Erie ride, shorter than Ragbrai, but still enough to enjoy some scenery and have the experience, and keeping with my Midwest touring.
I would have to find some New Glarus Spotted Cow lager and have a couple few in the morning, maybe another every 25 miles. How do you keep beer on a bike and have it stay reasonably drinkable?

Part of the route is on gravel trail I see.
definitely slows your pace down and if muddy hilarity may ensue.

Green Bay to La Crosse? Why not the other direction? At least you'd have the prevailing wind more behind you.
