Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thought I'd post a "water" picture as well. Sacramento River's in the background, picture was taken in Redding.

How dare he not stamp "HOT" on every bike, even if he doesn't like it. I hope he will get your approval on all of his purchases in the future...The nerve!

Wow got a grain of sand stuck in your vagina? The author's post I referenced consisted of a caret and three letters. I was curious of his reasoning... non confrontational like I was hoping he could elaborate on his previous post beyond the limited amount already given. You know encouraging discussion on all places... a discussion forum. The Nerve!

Who's the "keyboard tough guy"? Prior to today I've never seen your name or interacted with you. I've only replied in kind to a single disparaging post by you. The only thing I see is an Internet Bully who doesn't like the taste of his own medicine.

Not. Perfectly fine bike, likely the only bike you'll ever need, but still a typical road bike. The saddle to bar drop is appreciated however.

in the picture the shifters are high up on the bars and the saddle is almost downward tilting. maybe its the angle. I also don't like the bars themselves. a far as the wheelset....well at least its not the first gen Mavic R-Sys. rolling time bombs those.

That's fair, the shifters are a bit high, and I am looking to get a different set of bars. Although, it is the angle of the picture that makes the saddle look tilting.

As for the wheelset, what makes them rolling time bombs? I checked some reviews a while ago, and the primary problem was that they don't seem to stay true for very long (a problem I actually haven't had). In any case, their performance doesn't necessarily translate into aesthetic appeal, and I doubt they're either popular or unpopular enough to have established an idea of either "good" or "bad" that accompanies the sight of them.

I'll be the odd man out, and say I like the Bianchi above. IDK, but I dig those Celeste green machines. The bars are not to my liking, but it has Shimano before the cranks got ugly. I give it a 7/10, it's hot, but a few tweaks would make it into a scorching inferno.

That was in reference to R-SYS wheels. I'm sure yours are fine. I'm just biased against FSA parts after a crank failure.

Exactly why I think the Spesh looks on the "hot" side. I do realize that not everybody can ride a setup like this...but it does give the bike a nice aggressive look, and I have nothing against a triple crankset.

Thanks, and for the sake of my bike self esteem, I'd have to say you're not quite an odd man out. Only one has given an unequivocal "not", although it does seem that the bars are generally found to be not entirely appealing. What are the few tweaks you would suggest?

Ahh, sorry. Was your crank a Gossamer? I nearly got one of those for a different bike before seeing the terrible reviews.

extra small sized frames are not hot, especially with a triple crank

I lol'd. Of course internet discussion forum posts shouldn't be graded like an english paper. However, making THAT many mistakes in the process of questioning the level of someone's education is just too funny.
