Crazy Guy On a Bike Site down?

Hi All,

Sorry if this is O/T, but as a lot of touring folks use both sites, I thought this was the best place to ask...

Is anyone else having problems getting on to crazyguyonabike? I'm getting "500 Server Error" when trying to connect to https://www.crazyguyonabike.com, and it's been that way since some time yesterday afternoon.

I'm sure Neil is aware, but I didn't know where to look to see if there's a status update for when the site will be back up again.

Thanks in advance to anyone with information to share!

It works for me... either it was down and is back up now or something is wrong with your connection to the site - bad DNS server, e.g.?

Hi, there was a datacenter networking issue and the site was down all day yesterday and last night. I posted a detailed explanation here:

https://www.crazyguyonabike.com/forum...read_id=184367

The site should be back up and working now. My sincere apologies for the downtime.

Thanks Neil. Sorry for starting the second thread here - I didn't see yours until just now, as it had scrolled off the page as other threads with newer updates rose to the top.

Also, THANK YOU for all your hard work in keeping CGOAB going. There are a lot of people who rely heavily on it when planning their rides, not to mention those of us living vicariously through the journals of others locatied in far flung places around the globe!

Did anyone else notice that the stock market plummeted while Crazy Guy was down?

Coincidence, or just another indicator of the site's impact on global commerce?
